Altar Guild

Meeting Date: Fourth Sunday of the month

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and prepare the altar for worship services
  • Train altar boys and girls for worship services
  • Sponsor fellowship hour each 4th Sunday monthly
  • Maintain, clean, and repair altar clothes
  • Publish annual church calendar

Boosters

Meeting Date: Second Sunday of the month except July and August
Meeting begins 20 minutes after morning worship

Responsibilities:

  • Sponsor Mother's Day Celebration
  • Honor Fathers on Father's Day
  • Sponsor a special project annually

Women's Gathering
Formerly called Women's Association

Meeting Date: Fourth Sunday of the month following the worship service
Leader: Mrs. Martha Gillespie

Purpose:

Supports the general mission of the Presbyterian Church and stimulates Christian development

  • Attend the spring quarterly area workshop
  • Attend regular Presbyterian Women meetings
  • Attend Church Women United meetings
  • Sponsor annual bake sale
  • Contribute to Presbyterian Women's Mission projects
  • Celebrate Thanks, Praise and Least Coin offerings
  • Assist with Laity Sunday reception

Dorcas Circle

Meeting Date: First and Third Tuesday of the month
Leader: Rosalyn Scott

Responsibilities:

Member of Women's Gathering

  • Christian fellowship and Bible study from the Crisis Magazine
  • Support William G. Gillespie Scholarship Fund through a major project
  • Contribute to food pantry
  • Set up Educational Building for Family Night Dinners
  • Annual visit to Tower Village Nursing Home
  • Publication and sale of cookbooks

Esther Circle

Meeting Date: Second Saturday of the month in the Education Building

Responsibilities:

Member of Women's Gathering

  • Christian fellowship of women dedicated to support the mission of the Presbyterian Church
  • Regualar Bible study
  • Bi-Annual Salad Luncheon for major project
  • Make and deliver cookies to sick and shut-in
  • Replenish the food pantry by purchasing good and food staples
  • Participate in annual retreat
  • Provide reception following morning worship service on Anniversary Sunday in September annually
